Buchanan holds off New Buffalo 8-6

NEW BUFFALO — Buchanan  outlasted New Buffalo after five lead changes, squeaking out a 8-6 win at New Buffalo on Thursday.

Bucks pulled out the win thanks to a strong fourth inning.

went up for good on a two-run triple by Chad Adkerson off Tyler Maddux plating Austin Hall and Gavin Morris.

Buchanan held off New Buffalo, as the Bison were unable to overcome a three-run fourth inning deficit.

Adkerson racked up three RBIs on four hits for Buchanan.

Jarrett Thomas got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out one, walked four and surrendered four hits.

After posting two runs in the second, Bucks again scored two in the fifth. In the second, Bucks scored on an error, plating Doug Freeman.
