Bobcats blank Bridgman in Lakeland opener

The Brandywine tennis team opened up the Lakeland Conference portion of its schedule with an 8-0 win over visiting Bridgman Thursday.

The Bobcats (6-0, 1-0 Lakeland) won it straight sets in seven of the eight flights.

Hollie Carnes defeated Abbey Steffey 2-6, 6-1 and 6-2 at No. 3 singles in one of two very competitive matches.

The other match came at No. 1 doubles where Katie Rose and Alli Srmek defeated Jasmine Jones and Gabby Rodger 7-5 and 7-6.
