Niles and visiting Edwardsburg opened up their tennis seasons with a non-league match Wednesday.

The Eddies won three out of four flights in both the singles and doubles competition to earn a 6-2 win over the Vikings.

Niles’ lone wins came at No. 1 singles where Anna Flahaven defeated Madison Hatkevich 6-3 and 6-1; and at No. 1 doubles where Abby Rzepka and Maggie Feiffer defeated Katie Engle and Zoe Laubauch 7-6 and 7-5.

Edwardsburg edged Niles 7-6 and 7-5 at No. 2 doubles with Hannah Hoffman and Katherine Nunen defeating Brittany Klingerman and Libby Moody.
