Grace Charlotte Thurston, 74, of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at her home. She was born July 15, 1939 in St. Joseph, MI to Cecil and Blanche (Harroff) Rector. On August 16, 1964, she married Ted Thurston at a ceremony in Niles, MI. She was a College of Regent member for Moose Lodge Chapter 413 of Niles and a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church of Pullman, MI.

Grace is survived by her son; William “Bill” Thurston, two daughters; Joy (Timothy) Johnson, and Teri Jones, sister; Joan (James) Price, and two grandchildren; Dean (Amanda) Serenvy, and Shanda Johnson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Cecil and Blanche, husband; Ted, sister; Audrey Coleman, and brother; Lyle Rector.

Funeral Service for Grace will be at 12 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11 to 12. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
