Credit unions make a difference

It’s true. Elected officials from both sides of the aisle agree that credit unions matter — specifically, because of the value they deliver to local communities and consumers. On behalf of United Federal Credit Union, I would like to express sincere gratitude to all of Michigan’s Congressional delegation for their continued support of credit unions.

For more than 100 years, America’s credit unions have had support from elected leaders — allowing us to provide competitive financial solutions to hard-working families and small business owners. As not-for-profit organizations, we are owned by our Members, who share an equal voice in the management of the credit union. In fact, all of our earnings are used to directly benefit our Members and, in turn, our communities.

Again, I would like to personally thank the entire Michigan delegation — including House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp, Congressmen Fred Upton and Bill Huizenga, and Senators Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin — for continuing to support the value that credit unions bring to communities across the country.
