Three Berrien Springs teens are under arrest for allegedly committing multiple armed robberies on the campus of Andrews University Saturday.

Roy Leon Moore, Jr., 17, Byron Marselle Talbert, 19, and Thomas Rogers, 18, were taken into custody a little more than 24 hours after the incident, according to a press release from the Berrien Springs Oronoko Township Police Department.

All three have been lodged in Berrien County Jail on multiple charges of armed robbery.

Police were able to identify the suspects using assistance from the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, tips from citizens and video provided by Andrews University office of Campus Safety. The arrests were made by Berrien Springs officers and members of the FBI-VCTF.

Police say they recovered an “air-soft” pistol believed to have been used in the incident.

Berrien Springs police said they are grateful for the tips received and for the assistance provided by the FBI-VCTF.

“Cooperation with citizens and other law enforcement agencies made it possible to close this felony investigation in a little more than 24 hours,” said Berrien Springs Deputy Rick Smiedendorf.
