Jones man arrested for manufacturing explosives, hash

A 22-year-old Jones man was arrested Wednesday on multiple charges related to manufacturing explosives, manufacturing hash, and possession of marijuana, according to the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team.

According to a press release from the unit, investigators searched a residence in the 61000 block of South Main Street in Jones, Michigan.

The residence was secured and the Berrien County Bomb Squad was called to the scene to assist. The bomb squad personnel were able to seize several explosives and bomb manufacturing materials from the residence.

The suspect has been lodged at the Cass County Jail and is awaiting arraignment, after which his name and charges will be released.
