On behalf of the Buchanan District Library, I would like to thank the wonderful community of Buchanan for making the GirlZs and BoyZ Nights Out such a huge success.

Almost 200 community members attended both events. The girls especially enjoyed a fashion show and meeting Miss Buchanan and her court. The boys got a little messy playing with “Oobleck” and making silly putty.

Both groups had fun playing games, dancing, and cookie decorating. We couldn’t have done it without the help of staff from Moccasin Elementary School, the Buchanan Middle School, Miss Buchanan and her court and the many other adult and student volunteers from the community.

We hope this event introduces the library to families who are not yet patrons and is enjoyed by those already supporting the library. Thank you all for the gift of your time to the library and the community. You make Buchanan a great place to live.
