Earl J. Lowrance, 89, passed away in his home, on Monday, March 24, 2014, after an extended illness.

He was born in Rushing, Arkansas to the late John and Almer Lowrance.

On Nov. 19, 1949, he married Jacqueline Daus in Mishawaka. She survives with their three children, Earl James, Cary Dean (Joyce), and Debra McDowell. Also, surviving are nine grandchildren, Christina (Bret) Nicholaus, Cami (Matt) Van Aken, Amanda (Andrew) Hall, Carrie Otto, Sarah (Jace) Johnson, Reid McDowell, Cameron McDowell, Terry Jacobson, Michael Jacobson; nine great-grandchildren, Grant and Luke Nicholaus, Tyler and Eric Hall, Elizabeth, Emilie, and Jacob Otto, Evan and Cohen Johnson; brothers, Roy and Hollis of Arkansas; sisters, Ora Mackulin of Maryland and Joy Hormann of Arkansas. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Elbert and Herbert, and sisters, Ima, Irma, and Emma.

Earl was an Army veteran of WWII and proud member of the 536th ATB. He was a machinist, retired from Clark Equipment. Earl enjoyed gardening, woodworking and time with his family.

He was a member of South Bend First Church of the Nazarene which he faithfully attended even to the day before his death. Funeral services will be administered by his pastor, Rev. Andy Lauer.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28th at 1 p.m. at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, 61453 M-51 in Niles. A time of visitation will begin on Friday at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. An interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church.
