Thomas J. Dodge, born March 12, 1933, to the late Harley and Edna Dodge in Eaton Rapids, Mich., passed away March 21, 2014, at home. He is survived by his wife, Judy A. Dodge (Leonard-Singleton) whom he married on May 27, 1989.

He is also survived by five sons, Thomas J. Dodge, Jr. Kalkaska, Mich., Terry (Linda) Dodge, S. Boardman, Mich., Gerald Dodge, Petoskey, Mich., David (Melody) Dodge, Kalkaska, Mich. and Richard (Monica) Dodge, Bridgman, Mich., one daughter Barbara Barber, Clark Lake, Mich. and two adopted daughters, Terri (Tim) Tabbert and Theresa Hopkins of Petoskey, Mich. He is also survived by three step-sons, Kevin Singleton, Niles, and Mark and Brian Singleton of Dowagiac, 20 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandsons and one great-great grandchild.

Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from April 1953 and was honorably discharged April 1961. He retired from Benton Harbor Engineering after 22 years.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service at South Wayne Cemetery in Cassopolis, Mich. at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cass County Animal Shelter.
