Registration and payment is required by Friday, April 11. Registration will close earlier if all seats are filled.

The bus is scheduled to leave from the Buchanan Community Center, 131 S. Oak St., Buchanan, at 8 a.m. Trip prices are as follows: $76 BAC/Fernwood members and $95 for nonmembers. This includes bus, entrance ticket and driver tip.

The day’s schedule is as follows:

• 8 a.m. — Departure from Buchanan

• Noon — Approximate arrival at DIA

• Noon to 5 p.m. — Lunch and self-guided exhibit tour

• 5 p.m. — Approximate departure from DIA

• 9 p.m. — Approximate return to Buchanan

The Buchanan Art Center offers Fernwood members the BAC member price. Sign up can be done in person at the Buchanan Art Center, 117 W. Front St., Buchanan, or by credit card by calling (269) 697-4005.

Also, there will be a preview of the DIA Collections Lecture from 1-3 p.m. Sunday May 4. It will be presented by BAC teaching staff. It is free and open only to those registered for the May 16 bus trip.

In conjunction with the DIA trip, BAC teachers will share knowledge of the galleries and collection designed to make the trip to the DIA more rewarding and educational, especially since the time there will be limited. Attendees will learn details about some of the artists and their works and where to look for works that may be of special interest. Gallery maps will be available as well other resources and answers to questions.
