The Lakeland Health Foundations and LIVESTRONG at the Niles-Buchanan YMCA have announced a new partnership to deliver a continuum of care to thousands of patients and families impacted by cancer. Hope Grows 2014 will launch its inaugural endeavor to raise funds to support cancer screenings, treatment and follow-up care, and recovery for all of our community members, regardless of ability to pay.

On May 1, the Niles-Buchanan YMCA will host the first ever Hope Grows luncheon at noon. Those attending will see services in action as this new initiative highlights the stories of those who have benefited from free screening services as well as physical and strength recovery in the LIVESTRONG at the Y program.

“Our physicians tell us that early screening and detection is the key to overcoming cancer,” said Jenny Miner, Annual Fund Coordinator, Lakeland Health Foundations. “This fundraising activity will help more community members have access to these lifesaving services when needed.”

To become a sponsor of Hope Grows, purchase tickets to the luncheon, or to make a donation of support, please contact the Lakeland Health Foundations at (269) 927-5143. Several sponsorship levels are available. Individual tickets are $50; tables of eight are available with sponsorship levels of $500 or more.
