Mildred (Lorene) Goodman, 99, of Sullivan, Ind., passed away at 5:30 p.m. Thursday March 6, 2014, at her residence.

Lorene was born in Sullivan, Ind., Dec. 17, 1914, the daughter of Earl Mason and Ruby Bledsoe Mason.

She was preceded in death by her parents, also her husband Leo Goodman, a son Ronnie Lee Goodman, three brothers, James Lewis “Juke,” Albert Lloyd “Cockeye,” and Russell Leon Mason, and a brother and sister in-law John and Betty Goodman.

Lorene worked at Flora Plastics and was an organizational leader for Champion 4-H Club in Niles, Mich. She and her owned Goodman’s Horse and Dog Food, and later was a partner in Goodman and Son’s. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Mount Calvary Church in Sullivan, Ind.

Survivors include two sons, David Goodman of Sullivan, Ind., Darrell Goodman (Kathy) of Sullivan, Ind., seven grandchildren, Shanna Donat, and Jeff Donat, Scott Goodman, Shad Goodman, Shannon Goodman, Ronna Jo Olheim, Scott Goodman, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, along with best friend James Street, and many nieces, nephew and cousins.

Funeral services have already taken place at Newkrik’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Ind. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt Calvary Cemetery Fund.
