March 30, 1942 — Feb. 18, 2014

Kathryn L. Kiggins, 71, of Berrien Springs, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014. She was born on March 30, 1942, to the late Kenneth and Dora (True) Brant in Niles, Michigan.

On April 5, 1959 in Niles, Mich. she married James M Kiggins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Kiggins on Jan. 21, 1997; two sons, James (Jimmy) on March 18, 1984 and Steve on June 26, 2012 and two brothers Robert and John Brant.

Kathy is survived by her daughter Barbara (Jeff) Walter of Niles; son David Kiggins of Dowagiac; grandchildren Christopher (Cydni) Kiggins, Chad (Allison) Kiggins all of Niles, Kori, Samantha of Dowagiac; great grandchildren Hannah, Emma, Kloe, Kayla and Amelia; one sister Dorothy (Bonham) Coward of Niles; three brothers, Kenneth (Bud) of Dowagiac, Gerald (Bill) of Niles and Jack Brant of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Kathy has selflessly donated her body to science to help further the studies of Alzheimer’s Dementia. Celebration of life and graveside services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Niles.
