A 22-point second quarter lifted the Niles girls basketball team to a 67-39 Big 16 West Division win over Portage Central in the regular season finale for both teams.

Tatyanna Goodson scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Vikings to the victory.

With the score knotted at 11-1 after one quarter, Niles outscored the Mustangs 22-10 in the second quarter to break the game open. The Vikings took a 33-21 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Niles continued to built its lead in the second half, holding a 52-29 advantage heading into the final quarter.

Besides Goodson, the Vikings also got 20 points from Elyse Zimmeman and 13 points form Emily Gaines.

Taylor Snyder had nine points for Portage Central.
