Dowagiac holds on against Berrien Springs

BERRIEN SPRINGS — Kyle Solloway led a trio of Chieftains with 19 or more points in Dowagiac’s 79-71 Wolverine West Division boys basketball win Friday night.

Solloway finished with 24 points, Davion Highsmith 20 and Brandon Winchester-Jones 19 as the Chieftains improved to 10-9 on the year.

Dowagiac led 20-14 after one and 34-27 at halftime. The Chieftains opened up a 55-42 advantage heading into the final quarter.

Nick Little scored 24 points to lead the Shamrocks, who fall to 8-10 overall.
