Ronald J. Myers, 62, of Tiffin, Mich., passed away at 8:15 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at the Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

Ron was born Nov. 21, 1951, in Muskegon, Mich., to the late Jack and Janice (Hunsberger) Myers. He married Sandie (Stoops) in Dowagiac, on Aug. 19, 1972, and she survives in Tiffin.

Survivors include his daughters, Michele (Mahlen) Sayre and Ronele Myers both of Tiffin, four grandchildren, Meghan and Madison Sayre, Annika and Vincent Campbell, a brother, Don “Flint” (Barb) Myers, two sisters, Bonnie (Dick) Blaske and Connie (Mark) Parkhurst all of Dowagiac, Mich.

Ron was a beloved husband, dad, papa and friend. He was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ, the Optimist Club, involved with Junior Achievement, the Sandusky-Seneca-Tiffin Port Authority, Seneca County Chamber of Commerce, SIEDC and the Seneca County Industrial Management Council. Ron was an avid University of Michigan sports fan. Ron was a 1969 graduate of the Dowagiac Union High School and the Southwestern Michigan College. Ron was a National Guard Veteran who served for ten years.

A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the St. John’s United Church of Christ with the Rev. Pam Easterday officiating. The family invites friends to visit with them also on Saturday, from 11:30-12:30 at the church. There will be no burial held at this time. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with there arrangements.
