Dowagiac teams heading back to action

The temperatures may be headed back toward normal, but that doesn’t mean the area sports teams are out of the woods just yet.

With snow in the forecast impossible to predict just how many games will get played this weekend.

The Dowagiac wrestling team, which was scheduled to host a Wolverine Conference Quad on Wednesday, was forced to move the match to tonight.

Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

The Chieftains will then begin preparation for Saturday’s Wolverine Conference Tournament at Three Rivers High School.

Wrestling is set to begin at 9 a.m.

The Division 3 District Wrestling Tournament will be Wednesday in Coloma.

Dowagiac will face Paw Paw at 6 p.m.

The Dowagiac boys and girls basketball teams will be in action at Coloma Friday night.

The Chieftain girls team will begin the Wolverine Conference West Division doubleheader at 6 p.m., while the boys will follow at approximately 7:15 p.m.

Dowagiac will make up a pair of of West Division games Monday night with Berrien Springs.

The Chieftain girls team will travel to Berrien Springs, while the boys team will host the Shamrocks.

Both games are scheduled to tip-off at 7:15 p.m.
