Darmofal, Hornets too much for Bobcats

MENDON — The Brandywine boys basketball team couldn’t keep up with Mendon Tuesday night.

The Hornets raced out to an 18-10 first quarter lead on their way to an easy 75-52 non-league win.

The Bobcats trailed by 13 points after two quarters (39-26) and by 11 heading to the final quarter (53-42).

Mendon erupted for 22 fourth quarter points to pull away.

Zach Darmofal had a game-high 28 points for the Hornets.

Andrew Boocher led Brandywine with 12 points. He was the only Bobcats to reach double figures.
