Chieftains can 12 3-pointers in win over Comstock

Dowagiac dialed it in from long distance to defeat visiting Comstock 89-51 in a Wolverine Conference non-divisional boys basketball game Tuesday night.

The Chieftains (4-3) canned 12 3-pointers, including five by Brandon Winchester-Jones. Winchester-Jones finished with a game-high 22 points.

Dowagiac poured in 33 first quarter points and were never headed.

The Chieftains led 51-35 at halftime and 70-44 heading to the final quarter.

Dowagiac also got 16 points from Kyle Solloway and 14 points from Bryce Dodd.

Chad Paddock led the Colts with 22 points.

The Chieftains return to West Division play when they host Edwardsburg Friday night.
