Big third quarter lifts Bridgman over Cassopolis

BRIDGMAN — A 24-point third quarter kept host Bridgman undefeated in the Lakeland Conference.

The Bees and Cassopolis were deadlocked at 12-12 at halftime before Bridgman exploded for 24 points to open up a 36-20 lead heading to the final quarter.

Both teams struggled in the first half to score. Bridgman (5-3, 2-0 Lakeland) led just 8-6 after one quarter, while the Rangers (3-3, 0-2 Lakeland) held a slim 6-4 advantage in scoring in the second to force the 12-12 halftime score.

Brandon Glover had 15 points for the Rangers and was the only Cassopolis player to reach double digits.

Nick Knowlton had 10 points for the Bees and was the lone Bridgman player to reach double figures.
