The Niles wrestling team open up the home portion of its schedule as well as its Big 16 West Division campaign with a sweep of Portage Central and Portage Northern Wednesday night.

The Vikings defeated the Mustangs 58-15 and then knocked off the Huskies 46-23.

Going 2-0 on the night for Niles were Andrew Flick, Noah Hall, Darek Bullock-Mills, Warren Smith and Alex Bata.

Winning their only match of the night for the Vikings were Cody Thornton and Wyatt Thornton.
