Marcella Marie Kresl, 85, of Cassopolis, formerly of Chicago, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 in Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital, Dowagiac.

Marcella was born Jan. 23, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Rose (Andel) Kuratko. She married Edward Anthony Kresl June 9, 1951 in Berwyn, Ill. He preceded her in death in 2004. She was also preceded by her parents.

Marci was devoted to her family and greatly enjoyed spending time with them on Diamond Lake.

Marcella will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by one daughter, Marcia (Phil) Blatt of Palmyra, Pennsylvania; two sons, Edward (Catherine) Kresl of Cassopolis, and Mark (Patricia) Kresl of Ormond Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. CST in Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 South Des Plaines Avenue, North Riverside, Ill.. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at 10 a.m. CST in St. Mary Catholic Church, 126 Herrick Road, Riverside, Ill.

Mrs. Kresl will be laid to rest beside her late husband in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, Ill.
