Eddies go 1-1 in weekend games

ELKHART — Visiting Edwardsburg suffered its first loss of the season as Elkhart Central handed the Eddies a 63-57 setback Saturday night.

Edwardsburg (2-1) had defeated Three Rivers 64-35 to open its Wolverine Conference West Division schedule Friday night.

Central (2-3) grabbed a 23-13 lead after one period and led 39-22 at halftime.

Central took a 58-35 lead into the fourth quarter before the Eddies roared back to close the gap before falling. Edwardsburg outscored Central 22-7 in the final quarter.

Dante Razzano led the Eddies with 21 points, while Jackson Gaideski added 11 and Dylan Hulett nine.

Central got a game-high 24 points from Treyton Harris and 13 points from Aaron Flax.

Edwardsburg will travel to Otsego Tuesday night for a non-divisional Wolverine Conference contest.
