CARLETON — The Niles wrestling team fell to No. 1 (Division 1) Davidson 56-9 in the championship match of the Carleton Airport Gibby Duals Saturday.

The Vikings went 3-1 on the day, defeating No. 4 (Division 1) Oxford 39-30, Carleton Airport 66-3 and Monroe, 39-29.

Tecumseh finished third in the tournament with Oxford fourth, Brighton fifth, Monroe sixth, Portage Northern seventh and Carleton Airport eight.

Josh Dayhoff went 4-0 at 119-pounds for Niles.

Finishing the day 3-1 were Andrew Flick (103), Brendan Meek (112), Noah Hall (130), Darek Bullock-Mills (135) and Warren Smith (3-1).
