Bobcats fall to LMC in season opener

ST. JOSEPH — Host Lake Michigan Catholic scored 33 points in the second half to pull away from Brandywine in the boys basketball season opener for both schools.

The Bobcats (0-1) kept the game close for the first two quarters, trailing just 17-13 after one quarter and 36-29 by the intermission.

The Lakers (1-0) stretched their advantage to 13 points (49-36) after three quarters before exploding for 20 points in the final eight minutes.

Brandywine had just 21 points total in the second half.

Andrew Duckett led the Bobcats with 11 points. Zach Schmidt added nine and Isaac Davis seven.
