Terry Emmett McGovern Sr., 72, of Niles, passed away at his son’s home on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013.

Terry was born on March 28, 1941 to the late John and Willodean (Wallick) McGovern in South Chicago, Illinois.

In June of 1961 Terry wed Barbara Schoff and together they had five children.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one great grandson. He is survived by his wife Barbara; children Terry (Deborah) McGovern Jr. of Niles, Candi (David) Varner of Niles, Cindy McGovern of Niles, Cheryl (Michael) Smith of Cassopolis and Traci (James) Trimble of Niles; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter and a brother John (Judy) McGovern of Walkerton, Indiana.
