Lloyd Russell Huber, 73, of Niles, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 30, 2013, surrounded by his family and friends, following a lengthy illness.

Lloyd was born on April 9, 1940 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late William Benjamin and Nellie Frances (Alterkruse) Huber.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Doris Huber.

Lloyd graduated from Ft. Wayne High School. Upon moving to Michigan, Lloyd began working in the sheet metal business working for Greco in Buchanan, formerly Dayco in Niles, where he retired from after many years of service.

He married G. Jean (Kirkendall) Curtis on September 17, 1976 in Niles, Michigan.

Lloyd spent much of his time being a handyman fixing almost anything, and restoring old Studebaker Cars which he enjoyed very much.

He was also a member of both local and international Avanti clubs.

Lloyd enjoyed using his abilities to serve many, including family, friends and congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses, wherever needed.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Jean Huber of Niles, two sons Michael Huber and Patrick (Jane) Huber of Ft. Wayne Indiana, Step-Children; Deborah (Kevin) Hancock of Niles, Karen (Gary) Blank of Buchanan and Timothy Curtis of Panama City, Florida, three brothers; Roger (Mary) Huber, Franklin (Nancy) Huber and Joseph (Lois) Huber all of Indiana, three sisters; Barbara Horstmeyer of Indiana, Dianne (Robert) Halter of Indiana and Norma Jean Millikan of Pennsylvania, eleven grandchildren and step-grandchildren and eight step- great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on December 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 603 N. 17th Street in Niles.
