Thomas J. Kozel died Nov. 11, 2013 in Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. He was 59 years old.

Tom was born July 19, 1955 in South Haven the son of the late Connie and Victor Kozel. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Mike Kozel; nephew, Scott Weber; and brother-in-law, Randy Smith.

Surviving are his wife, Margie; two daughters, Shannon (Jeremy) Huffmeister, Jeanette (Weston) Ball; step-son, Matthew Smith; seven grandchildren, Tyler Kozel, Hailey and Kaden Huffmeister, Madissen Kozel, Aiden Ball, Angelus and Piper Smith; brother, Don (Laurie) Kozel; sisters, Vicki (Paul) Busch, Donna (Mike) Wilkinson, Debbie (Jack) Titman; mother and father-in-law, Richard and Doris Smith, brother-in-law, Rick (Terri) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Arrangements by the Bangor Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for burial expenses. Tom was a donor to Gift of Life of Michigan.
