About 6,700 Midwest Energy members are still without power at this time. Due to last night’s storm, the damage is widespread and is affecting Midwest’s entire service territory.

Crews have been dispatched and are in the field working on restoration efforts. Initial restoration work will focus on public safety and efforts that restore service to the largest numbers of customers first. Midwest Energy is estimating to have all power restored by the end of the week. Mutual aid is on the way to assist in restoration efforts.

Customers are reminded to stay away from downed power lines, and contact the Midwest Energy Cooperative office at 1-800-492-5289 if a downed power line is spotted.
