Dear Editor,

Dowagiac Union High School’s student senate was approached with an idea for a new tradition, homecoming fireworks.  We realized in order to make this idea a reality the student senate needed to do some fundraising.  We were able to raise way more money from local businesses than we estimated.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank those who made this possible.  They include RKM Fireworks, Kirk Proshwitz, Claborn Mechanical, Barry’s Automotive, Ausra Farms, Bakeman’s Barbers, Imperial Furniture, MTL and Dr. Cripe DDS.  A special thank you to Kirk Proshwitz for donating his time and expertise to manage the fireworks!
