Dr. William C. Slucas, 76, of Buchanan, MI, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, MI.
William was born July 8, 1937, in Chicago, IL, to William and Mary Slucas. William married Kathleen Rabon on September 12, 1971, in Glen Ellyn, IL.
He was a Marine veteran and co-owned the Buchanan Chiropractic Clinic from 1973-2001, when he retired.
William is survived by his wife Kathleen; a son: Matthew William Slucas; daughters: Alison Elizabeth Slucas, Victoria Marie Slucas, Julia Kathlyn Slucas, and Elizabeth Anne Slucas; brothers: Charles (Beverly) Slucas and David (Christine) Slucas.
William is preceded in death by a son, William Charles Slucas, Jr.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, MI.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 509 W. Fourth St., Buchanan, MI, with Father Richard Altine officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
