Deborah Joan Bowen, 60, of Niles, passed away at Riveridge Manor in Niles on Monday, October 14, 2013, surrounded by her family.

Debbie was born in San Diego, California to Llewellyn Dale and Doris Mae (Norton) Bowen. Debbie loved music, spending time with her family, car rides and always enjoyed nature, especially the leaves in the fall. Though she always needed care from her family she gave enormous amounts of love. Everyone that knew her, especially her group and day home families, loved her sweet disposition.
She is survived by her parents Llewellyn Dale and Doris Bowen of Niles, three sisters; Carol (Rojelio) Castillo of Niles, Denise (Matthew) Dawkins of Houston, Texas and Mary Ann (Robin) Paquette of Berrien Springs, Michigan as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Debbie’s life will be held Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 5 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Niles with a time of visitation one hour prior.
Memorial contributions may be made in Debbie’s memory to L.A.D.D. Inc., CLS 38, 300 Whitney Street, Dowagiac, Michigan 49047.
