Letter to the editor: Thanks for supporting Cat TracksPublished 12:04pm Wednesday, October 9, 2013
To the editor:
Cat Tracks 5K would like to say thank you to everyone that helped with, sponsored, donated, and participated in the 7th running of this event. This year’s event was the most successful one yet, marking the 1st year of hopefully a long partnership with the Niles/Buchanan YMCA. Highlights include a record turnout for participants and the move to chip timing with online registration.
We congratulate Lucas Copi of St. Joseph, Mich. and Sydney Cason of Stevensville, Mich., this year’s overall male and female champions. This year the event raised over $3,300. To date Cat Tracks has raised over $18,000 for athletics and facilities improvement at Brandywine High School. All proceeds from this year’s race will go toward a new press box for the football field. For race photos visit Cat Tracks 5K on Facebook.
