Kristine “Kris” Michele (Ferry) Groves, 48, of Niles, passed away after a brief illness at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2013.

Kris was born in Niles, Mich., to Robert Ferry and Karen Ferry. She graduated from high school in Merritt Island Florida. After graduation she returned to Michigan.

She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and survived by her mother and stepfather Karen and Terry Malling of Niles, father Robert Ferry and a host of extended family.

In keeping with Kris’ wishes she has been cremated and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. with memorial services to celebrate Kris’ life beginning at 3 p.m.
