Edwardsburg boys 36th, girls 38th at Portage Invitational

PORTAGE — The Edwardsburg girls cross country team finished 38th at the Portage Invitational Saturday.
Grand Rapids Christian won the Division 2 title with 154 points. Linden was second with 161.
Mason’s Meg Darmofal was the overall winner with a time of 18:03.
Abbie Smith was the top finisher for Edwardsburg as she was 109th overall with a time of 21:20.
St. Clair won the boys title with 107 points. St. Joseph was second with 111.
Austin Sargent of Cedar Springs was the individual champion with a time of 15:50.
The Eddies were 36th. Michael Higley finished 72nd to lead Edwardsburg with a time of 17:22.
