Public Safety Director Steven Grinnewald announces that on Thursday October 3rd, 2013 officers from his department arrested a subject after a home invasion in the 300 block of Green Street in Dowagiac.
Officers responded to the mid-day call after a resident and her child came home to find the subject in their home.  Officers searched the area and a short while later located the subject.  The subject was pursued on foot by officers and apprehended a few blocks away.
None of the victim residents were injured.  The suspect was not injured.
All of the stolen property from the home was recovered by police after the foot chase.  The suspect was a juvenile and he was detained in a juvenile detention center by Cass County Probate Court.  The juvenile’s name is not being released.
