PAW PAW – St. Joseph put the finishing touches on its Big 16 West Division championship by completing the sweep of the jamborees.

The Bears shot 174 to easily capture the jamboree hosted by Mattawan at Heritage Glen Wednesday.

Lakeshore was second with a 220, Mattawan third with a 230 and Niles fourth with a 230. Mattawan earned the third place finish based on the fifth-person tiebreaker.

Benton Harbor was fifth with a 284.

Emma Dine of St. Joseph took medalist honors with a 40.

Ele Hein shot 56 to lead the Vikings Wednesday. Katie Holmes and Ryan Hinegardner both finished with a 57. Allison Grant and Morgan Cook each finished at 60, while Kourtney Custard shot 66.

Holmes earned honorable mention All-West Division for Niles.

The Vikings finished 11th at the Big 16 Tournament held at Island Hills Monday.

Hein led the way with a 38 and a two-day total of 112. Grant shoot 44 Monday, while Holmes shot 53, Chloe Schilling 56, Cook 62 and Custard 64.
