The Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police received a complaint of an attempted scam by two white males stating that they work for a Giant Tool Company.

They were driving a green Dodge pickup with Giant Tools printed on the sides of the vehicle. They attempted to sell a large generator by saying that they had just attended a large show where the tools in their truck where used for show.

They claimed their boss told them to sell a large generator as well as other tools, included a welder, and an air compressor or give it away for what they could get.

They were asking for about $ 6,000 for the generator and they would give the other equipment to the person that bought the generator.

They were asking for a credit card to be used. Equipment appeared to be newer equipment.

If you are approached by these individuals, do not give them your credit card information. Contact the Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police Department at 663-8444.
