George Fedore, 86, of Niles, passed away on Monday, Sept. 23 at Berrien Center Specialty Hospital.

George Fedore was born on March 28, 1927 in Niles to the late George and Helen (Vogelsang) Fedore.

After graduating from Niles High School he continued in the family business at the Dowagiac Pastry Shop in Dowagiac.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with the family and friends at the Cass County Fair.

On Oct. 26, 1946 George married the love of his life Grace (Vandenburg) Fedore at a ceremony in South Bend.

George is preceded in death by his parents and wife.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Fedore of Niles, Sandra Fedore of Dowagiac, two sons, Garry “Joe” (Connie) Fedore of Cassopolis, Douglas (Ann) Fedore of Mishawaka, 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and a sister Joan Vandenburg of Niles.

Memorial contributions may be made in George’s wishes to the Cass County Fair Association; P.O. box 54, Cassopolis, Michigan 49031 or a charity of one’s choice.

Services to honor George’s wishes will be Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel at 1:00 pm with a time of visitation starting at 11:00 am.  Pastor Deeds will be officiating the service.
