Dowagiac Band Director C.J. Brooks is trying to get as many fans as possible to line Paul Street at 6:30 Friday for the arrival of the Michigan State Marching Band from Union High School.

The Spartans will march to Chris Taylor-Alumni Field in a huge procession with Dowagiac’s own Chieftain Marching Band and Berrien Springs Marching Band from the staff parking lot on West Prairie Ronde.

Dowagiac alumnus Ben Thompson plays tenor saxophone with the MSU band.

Brooks said the halftime show will preview music from James Bond heard at the University of Notre Dame on Saturday.

“They will do part of their pre-game sequence as well,” Brooks said.
