BENTON HARBOR — Visiting Niles rolled up 470 yards in total offense en route to a 52-13 victory in a battle of winless Big 16 West Division teams Friday night.

The Vikings threw for 283 yards as both quarterbacks eclipsed the century mark.

Alex Harpenau was 13-of-22 for 177 yards and two touchdowns, while Sean Craig finished the night 5-of-8 for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Darek Bullock Mills was their favorite target as he hauled in 10 receptions good for 117 yards. Mills caught a 2-yard pass from Harpenau for a touchdown. Ra’Quon Glenn had four receptions for 69 yards and a 23-yard scoring strike from Harpenau.

Craig threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to Dwane West and ran for a score.

Also scoring touchdowns for the Vikings were Harpenau on a 1-yard run, Warren Smith on a 26-yard run and Kevin Reed on a 67-yard run.

Niles rushed for 187 yards on the night.

Defensively, the Vikings (1-2) held Benton Harbor (0-3) to 184 yards in total offense.

The Tigers scored on a 4-yard run by Dashawn Perry and a 1-yard run by Devontae Jones.
