Niles freshmen now 3-0 after win over Tigers

The Niles freshmen football team improved to 3-0 with a 30-6 win over visiting Benton Harbor Thursday.

The Vikings got on the board with a 25-yard touchdown pass from Jake Hamm to Cameron Haines. Mitch FIndeisen scored on the 2-point conversion.

The Vikings made it 16-0 when Jake LaLone returned a blocked punt 40 yards for a touchdown. Haines scored on the 2-point conversion. The lead was extended to 22-0 with a 23-yard run by Findeisen.

A 68-yard touchdown pass to Findeisen finished off the scoring for the Vikjngs, with Haines converting the two points.

The Vikings were led defensively by Cody Glick, who had two fumble recoveries, an interception and five tackles. Cade Stephenson, Jacob Harrison and Conner Amberg had seven tackles each.
