BERRIEN SPRINGS – The Edwardsburg girls cross country team captured the Shamrock Invitational at Berrien Springs Thursday.

Niles finished third.

Led by Aubrey Ritchey’s third place finish, the Eddies scored 45 points to edge Battle Creek Harper Creek for the team championship by a point. The Vikings were third with 88 points.

Ritchey ran a time of 21:13. Reagan Dishaw of Harper Creek was the overall winner with a time of 21:00. Ellie Burck was the first Niles runner across the finish line with a time of 22:03.

Bridgman won the boys title with 62 points. Harper Creek was second with 65 and Edwardsburg third with 87. Niles finished eighth with 170 points.

Cameron Bredice of Bridgman was the overall winner with a time of 17:07. Edwardsburg’s Andrew Van Kirk was fifth with a time of 18:02.
