Joseph L. Woods, 89, died in Panama City, Fla. Sept. 8, 2013, son of Frank and Lucy Woods of Niles, Mich. Joe was predeceased by his parents, brother Richard, sister Rosemary and step-children Cheryl Wainwright and Jan Sayer.

He is survived by wife Eileen (O’Brien) Woods, son Joseph, daughter Ann, step-children Karen (Vince) O’Keefe, John (Theo) Wainwright, Steve Sayer, and many grandchildren.

Joe was owner of a family-operated beverage distributing company in Niles Mich. for many years. He retired to Sebring and Panama City, Fla., a WWII veteran and true patriot. He was a long time Shriner and Elk, avid bowler, golfer and hunter.

He transported many ailing children to Shriner’s hospitals and was a friend to all that crossed his path.

The family intends a private service. Memorial donations may be made in Joe Woods name to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
