Big third quarter leads to Edwardsburg rout

VICKSBURG – A 24-point third quarter turned a close game into a round for the Edwardsburg football team Friday night.

Leading just 13-0 at the half, the Eddies exploded for three third quarter touchdowns on their way to a 44-7 Wolverine Conference non-division victory.

Quinten McCollough, who scored twice in the third quarter, finished with 69 yards on six carries for Edwardsburg, which also got 70 yards on 10 carries and a touchdown from Dylan Hulett.

Dante Razzano and Dustin Vires scored the other two touchdowns for the Eddies.

Edwardsburg finished with 335 yards in total offense, including 311 on the ground. The Eddies’ defense gave up 212 yards in total offense, including 212 through the air to the Bulldogs.

Edwardsburg will host Comstock in another Wolverine non-divisional contest. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
