Niles netters second at Loy Norrix invite

KALAMAZOO — The Niles tennis team finished second at the Kalamazoo Loy Norrix Invitational Saturday.

Coldwater captured the tournament, while host Loy Norrix was third and Plainwell fourth.

The Vikings brought home a pair of championships.

Brad and Matt Miller earned their third tournament of the year when they defeated Ryan Brozovich and Macneal Lee of Loy Norrix at No. 1 doubles 6-2 and 6-0.

Nick Borkowski and Derek Brown defeated Buddy Bailey and Shane O’Grady 6-2 and 7-6 at No. 2 doubles.

Matt Lee and Jake Ruelle finished second at No. 3 doubles. They were defeated 6-2 and 6-1 by Nolan Duda and Kaegan Dwyer of Coldwater
