COMSTOCK — The Dowagiac varsity volleyball team defeated host Comstock 3-1 in a Wolverine Conference non-divisional match Thursday.

The Chieftains defeated the Colts 25-17, 25-13, 12-25 and 25-20.

“The team looked great tonight,” Dowagiac coach Sara Lawrence said. “They really came together and cheered each other on. They battled hard tonight. I am very proud of the girls. We still have things on to work on like all teams, but we are looking greater and greater each day.

“We brought our first win in conference home to Dowagiac tonight. This great group of girls really works great together and battled hard as well.”
