AUBURN HILLS — The No. 4-ranked Owens Tech was defeated by Muskegon Community College Friday in its season opener.

The Express lost to the Jayhawks 3-2.

Brandywine freshman Jessy Cooper had 14 assists.

In its second match Friday, Owens Tech lost 3-2 to Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

Cooper had a team-high 12 assists against the Cougars.

Saturday’s games against Schoolcraft and Oakland Community College, the Express lost 3-0 and 3-1 respectively.

Cooper had a team-high 14 assist against Schoolcraft and 14 assists against Oakland.
