The date for the third Annual Day of Action for Seniors is Thursday, Nov. 7.

Teams of volunteers go to the homes of senior citizens to rake leaves, clean gutters and apply plastic to windows.

While it’s hard to imagine preparing for winter now, November will be here before you know it and sign up is starting.

Both seniors interested in receiving the service and volunteers can go to the United Way website at www.uwsm.org/dayofactionforseniors to sign up.
